Bhutan Cricket Joins The Cause

“Now we want to create a world in which every woman and girl can manage their menstruation in a hygienic way, where ever she is in privacy, safety and with dignity”. – Dechen Wangmo, Women’s captain.

Today, at the Pelkhil Cricket Oval, BCCB President Thinley Wangchuk Dorji, along with CEO Jigme N. Norbu, Mr. Kelly Dorji and the BCCB staff joined hands with the Bhutan Women’s National Team on this Menstrual Hygiene Day to make the environment dignified, open, and safe for our girls.

Speaking or talking about Periods is a taboo, but in fact Periods is not a taboo and it is not a sin. It is just simply being a woman. Hence, we must break the silence and promote respectability towards menstruation.
